3 Better Ways to Educate your Owners during COVID-19

Are you sick and tired of getting ‘COVID-19 Update’ emails?

The truth is most of us are simply ignoring them, and guess what? So are your owners!

Getting clear communication to your property owners who are all anxious and concerned in these times is more important than ever as it is your role to show confidence and stability so these owners will cling to your agency throughout the COVID-19 period.

Because that’s your most important goal.

So, what are some better and more effective ways to educate and inform your wonders at this time?

Here are three things you can do-

Load Updates to your Social Media Platforms

Load updates and information to your Facebook Page, LinkedIn, Youtube, and anywhere else your wonders might be reviewing information and seeing your news feed. 

Just blast it out there with legislated updates and how you’re dealing with issues.

Social Media provides a great way to broadcast yourself out there into the world- make sure you use it!

Educate and Update with Educational Videos

Understand that when you educate you also influence others. When you’re perceived as the ‘go-to’ expert, you are the one that your current prospective owners will trust, and will rely upon you or will bring you their business.

They want someone that will give them the peace of mind they need.

There are so many pieces of legislation and discussion right now you could easily be recording on your smartphone, together with what action you’ve taken.

It’s not about the production and polish, but it’s all about the content and what you’re saying that counts. 

If you’re addressing a specific pain point an owner has in one of your videos and you’re giving great direction, confidence, and leadership then your job is achieved. The production and polish don’t matter.

What questions are your wonders calling you with? What are their concerns and the biggest stress points? 

Make sure you note these to know what you will be speaking about in your videos.

From there, load your videos with a ‘catchy headline’ addressing the issue and pain point, loading them to all your social media channels and youtube.

Pick up the phone and call your owners!

The most effective way right now to communicate with your owners is to pick up the phone and let them know what actions you’ve taken and put them at ease.

If you’re not already doing it that means you have stressed and anxious owners listening to all the uncertainty being blasted through the media.

If they perceive that you’re not doing anything to allay your fears and they see another agency providing confidence and leadership, you may have an owner moving simply because of this.

Agents are signing up new businesses because they are getting calls from anxious owners from other agencies. Don’t let that happen to you!

Right now you have an amazing opportunity to shore up loyalty with your owners right now with right and effective communication with your owners.
