Continuing the list from Part One, here are the keys to successfully recruit property managers.
“I Need a Property Manager Right Now!”
I have lost count of the times I have received phone calls from principals in a panic saying “Darren, my property manager has resigned and I need an experienced property manager now!” My answer is usually the same:
We know that too many real estate principals employ property managers simply on experience alone without taking any other factors into consideration.
PM principals who underline ‘experience’ as the number one criteria for recruitment could be damaging their rental department.
Where have all the property managers gone?
I remember another trainer joked: “They’re all living in a mental asylum on the Nullabor Plain, and if you can get close you can hear them screaming saying ‘They didn’t care about me!’”
